[MPB-discuss] line-defect waveguide
Sir, I have to design a structure with SOI as substrate and Si layer over it with air holes etched.my aim is to achieve slow light . I am having trouble understanding the output of the extension code .I tried running the code according to my ctl file please guide as I am getting confusing(-ve group index values) results. Thanks very much for your reply! The structure that i want to bulid is ONLY one line-defect in the whole square lattice.Even if I set the supercell parameter to 10, this line-defect is still periodic.That means the line-defect isn't sole.Like that: What I need is: (Infinite ...) Your supercell width is 3 so MPB ensures a Bloch periodicity using a supercell composed by only three holes in y direction.
