For anyone interested, the Library Implementation Committee present its
recommendations for the Library Board and City Council Tuesday at 7:30AM at
the Grain Exchange cafeteria, 400 S. 4th Street.
On a related note, in the STrib article on the Mayor race this morning, the

Hello Minneapolis how are you doing today? Say the reason that I am writing
to day is to find out what peoples views are about the DFL City Convention
that is coming up This Saturday at Augsburg College. Please let me know
what you think about that convention that is coming up on Saturday.
In response to Carol Becker's comments about the Konderator, you will
remember, Carol, that the reason the business owners sued was because the
City initially approved the Konderator during Sandra Hillary's term as
Council Member. When Joe Biernat was elected, he moved to rescind the permit
Mpls does have a ton of wonderful and diverse things to do, free or low cost thtoughout the summer. We are also lucky that our city, council people and park boards encourage communities to create their own fesitvals.
Thank you for sharing those good resources Annie.

Regarding the comparability of the numbers I posted previously on national
urban park costs:
Every effort as made to bring each agency's financial numbers into

Thanks, Carol, for the more detailed comparison. Seems like our first place
status in amenities aligns with our second place in costs fairly well, at least
using these numbers. And I'd much rather swim in a lake than I would in a pool!

confused me. the title of your posting labeled him as a democrat, but the

Title: RE: [Mpls] Redistricting Mpls
I took a couple of what I think are the salient comments on the GOP redistricting plan and added them below. As a Minneapolis Republican, let me add my thoughts.
I have not checked this in detail, but I do not remember a single DFL candidate for a

Okay, Okay. So it's not just open dumpsters, garbage
haulers, etc. who are responsible for most of the
litter. It's the population in general. How can we
move toward solving the problem.
First of all, let's lighten up a little and realize
this is only one of many problems in our city and not

living within the budget (or within hailing distance at
least) the city slots MPL for. However, most of the annual
budget goes to wages, which is normal. Some goes for

Mr. Gustafson,
No disrespect to you, it's just that I see it from a point of view of
borrowing from our children's future. If I'm correct you look at the
world like a checkbook, um, looks like I got $500 in my account, I can
easily spend $300 and I won't be overdrawn.
The way I look at it, we've
