The person that made those comments had a McLaughlin t-shirts and was passing
out Peter literature all day. He has been at many events, such as Matthews
Park during Aquatennial and Brian Coyle Center last Friday, translating for
Peter. R.T. may be clueless about social justice
This question does not really apply to me because I moved to the suburbs,
but as someone who would have voted for Hakeem if I lived in Minneapolis,
I'll answer anyway. I would be slightly leaning toward RT without any
enthusiasm.
Mainly because McLaughlin is so much backed by the old guard

This year's 14 percent primary voter turnout is way off from 2001 - but as
everyone remembers, that primary was held on September 11, 2001.
As it was election day, the Board meeting had to be completed by 6pm. It
was a short agenda.
First side note - I've been attending the meetings since August of 2004
(unless I'm out of town on business). Each meeting has a printed agenda.
One of the first items on the agenda is approval of

Schiff had the only primary where voters had a choice between a Green
(Bicking) a Republican, (Shegstad) and a DFLer.
Interesting, wasn't it? The Greens are making steady progress and have
developed enclaves on the southside that are beginning to make a dent in
DFL strongholds. Hakeem made a really strong impression on the
electorate who turned out. The DFL is beginning to feel the effect of
the Greens.

The Shegstad campaign seriously underestimated the Green get out the vote
effort. We know that there is much more support for Shegstad among the
regular folks, but getting them out to vote in the primary proved
