Then it is not a Hypervisor causing this :( Shucks!
Another additional test could be to see how the OS build performs once it
exits the WINPE phase, and gets into a full blown OS. Try to get it to

Are you looking at having the storage split between two drives or are you
talking about the machine being a DP for 2 different sites?
In the case of point #1 then yes, you can specify the drives that content will
be sent to although you cannot specify the exact drive that any one content

DPs will automatically use the volume with the most amount of free space on a
package by package basis so what would be the point of doing this?
As mentioned though, no, it's not possible.

As Jason said, Distribution Manager enumerates the NTFS formatted partitions on
the machine and looks for the one with the most free space for each new package
that is assigned to the DP. You can have files on multiple drives that are
distribution point folders without having to specify them.

Are you using Server Shares exclusively? If so, then you can have as many of
them as you like and each can be enumerated as a new site system.
When you create a new site system it presents an option of Server Name or

With server shares it won't do this - only normal DPs. Part of this issue with

In 2012, there's no such thing as a server share.

Ah, right. It doesn’t make that clear in the KB or in the article (kind of
suggests it without spelling it out) that this adds the client hotfix to SCCM.
Makes it sound like it’s just a hotfix to add supported platform tick boxes to
those particular areas and not a client hotfix. I get it now.

So, someone just hypothesized that it may be an issue with the Intel NIC driver

Has anyone tried updating that driver with an updated one directly from Intel

But I don't think it's a driver issue since also WinPE 4.0 images are slow when
