Is the fix available in a downloadable release yet? 2.1 is still the
newest release I see on the downloads page.

First of all: Not every technical definition exists in an RFC. This is
functionality that every other MUD client has, and even basic telnet
apps like Windows telnet.exe and puttytel.exe also support. There is
support for TABs in HTML and CSS as well. It's a well supported

Does your game support RFC654? I have yet to see a game that does.
Your cited RFC 659 doesn't define anything about tabs.
Let me quote RFC 854:
Horizontal Tab (HT) 9 Moves the printer to the
next horizontal tab stop.
Oh - I saw the welcome screen adter this.

Again, you asked for an RFC, and I provided one. I never said my game

side, because it specifically says:

I don't think it matters about connecting or not. I've checked and the

I'd start by looking at how other clients handle it those three cases.
This isn't the world's first MUD client so you have the luxury of being
able to look at how the competition is handling these cases.
1. Neither game nor client know where the other party defines the tab
positions.
So? That's
A client shouldn't force their desired behaviour on the game. A client
isn't a Cause, it's a viewport to the information and it should
represent it as faithfully to the anticipated output as it can.
I don't want to give up on MUDlet, it looks amazing and it works and
shows a lot of hard work. I
Alright, I tried it on my wife's computer, she uses Mudlet 2.0 test 4 and
it copies/pastes just fine. I'm going to install the latest version of
