Concordo com vocês que o MRTG está ultrapassado com relação às outras
ferramentas Nagios e Cacti.
Tanto é que estou planejando desativá-lo e substituir pelo Nagios. Conheço
superficialmente o Cacti. Já instalei aqui prá testes.
Porque Nagios e não Cacti?
