Hi All,
I've been trying to find out if there is a 64-bit version of Nagios for Windows
64. I've been looking at the internet and there isn't a lot of info about it.
I'm asking because our local Windows admins say it won't run on the Windows
64-bit, running on AMD (HP if that matters). Any
Hi All,
I've had nagios 3.0.3 on a linux box, going for several months now, checking
swap, disk space, number of processes, and several other services on about 8
UNIX hosts. Last week, a fellow admin decided he wanted to add a bunch of
hosts. He added the hosts, but only added the
I just checked. All added hosts are members of the hostgroup solaris-servers.
Thanks Eric.

you can do something like this or remove hosts from hostgoup
Well, I think I spoke a little soon, but in a weird sort of way. The GUI is
not showing unconfigured services, but I'm still getting notifications about
the unconfigured services. The notifications were just delayed. What should I

Hey Dermot,
Check the SMF log file /var/svc/log/network-nagios-nrpe\:default.log.
If things still arent working, execute /lib/svc/method/nagios-nrpe
manually with some bourne debugging. This will show you what the
nagios-nrpe script is trying to do.
# sh -x /lib/svc/method/nagios-nrpe
In a service definition, who would definition contact if the contacts entry
in it is left blank? What does it default to?

How do I get nagiosadmin to stop receiving notifications that the other admins
get? For example, the Windows guys get some that I don't need to get.
Thanks for any pointers.

Well
Hi all,
I'm getting a message from the syslog of my nrpe client that says:
Host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is not allowed to talk to us!
In the nrpe.cfg file I have the IP address of the nagios server:
allowed_hosts=127.0.0.1,172.20.40.45
I can ping the server just fine.
This is nrpe v 2.10, and server
