Hans,
In s-mod-??, the file name is simply typeset as \tt\Modulefile. This
prevents an _ (underscore) in filenames. Can this be changed to

sure,

If this is OT, my apologies to all.
I am currently using ConTEXt to produce PDFs with a colored
background which I specify using R G B settings. Unfortunately, this
background does not look the same when others open the files on their
computers. Is there anything I can do at my end to
Another try:
If I expand the example of tables in wiki.contextgarden.net/Tables
beyond one page, there is no pagebreak, but the table continues at the
bottom.

Hi everyone,
I've seen some marvelous samples on Adobe' official site about dynamic
barcoded forms using XML:
http://www.adobe.com/products/server/barcodedpaperforms/pdfs/sample_barcoded_demo.pdf
can someone tell me that is it possible to build such pdfs using ConTeXt?
Yours,
Chen

Hi Wolfgang,
I have modified the wiki-example only slightly in appendix 1.
Appendix 2 is the log-file.

Not yet ;-)
I can think of 3 possibilities for a static barcodes module:

I have at the moment no ConTeXt where I can test your example file
but you should try to change the first line of your float from
\placetable[here]...
to
\placetable[here,split]...
I hope it works for you and I also try to run your file till tomorrow.

Hallo!
I searched some of the first (p. 8-9) commands used in 'the details'
in setup-en.pdf.
But I didn't found
\showgridboxes
\setlayer
\definelayer
\layoutcolumnoffset
...
Shouldn't be ALL the commands listet in setup-en.pdf?
How is this document created?

Hallo!
With ConTeXt ver. 2006.09.26, figure numbering is working as
expected.
You need the option
\setupfloats[numbering=nocheck]
is not longer needed, but
you can see a bad sideeffects by figurenumber=nocheck in my
example
this sideeffect is visible both, with nocheck and without

Hi all,
there is some deep bug that was discovered translating Beginners manual.

This will appear in both modes screen and normal.
Interesting is that no error appears in context
Hi,
I am using the bib module using the AMS format. I've noticed that all
the publications that get appended et al to the authors, do not
include any space between the authors name and et al. Example:
John Doeetal, Publication Title
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks,

Thank you misters,
Drawing static barcodes is very easy, but I really like the dynamic
barcoded forms. I've downloaded some examples which is written in
java, and it says that it uses XML. I've heard that ConTeXt can use
XML but when I've finished reading the example.pdf (it is talking

Hi everyone,
I am attempting to map some XML into
ConTeXt as described in the manual XML in ConTeXt. Essentially
we have a bunch of tagged text (the XML loosely based on some
of the XHTML tags) from which we want to produce PDF letters for
dispatch (via email, post etc).

That is protected by DRM from Adobe; you need software from Adobe for
