Hi, this is related to the current thread about TwoColumns, but different:

For changes in bylaws or similar legal texts, I need to typeset the 
old and new version side by side, while paragraphs should start at the 
same height, different lengths of paragraphs to be balanced with 
whitespace. I’d like to have both versions on one page (i.e. in columns).


That means, the streams module is not suitable, if it would work in 
MkIV at all.

Is there a better solution than using a table? (And which one is best?)

1. Streams work in MkIV
2. The MkIV version has a command to set sync points.

Only the mechanism to create pages/columns for the stream content is 
missing.

two new keys 'spacebefore' and 'spaceinbetween' for notes. These are 
needed when we have multiple note categories. In mixed columns this is 
supported. In single column mode only with luatex experimental (so 
patience is needed, but no one asked for this feature anyway).

[NTG-context] mathmatrix and grid: followup

Dear list,

some time ago I asked about the interplay of mathmatix with grid typesetting:

I noticed that when the grid is enabled, the height of a mathmatrix is rounded 
down which leaves less space above than below.  In my opinion either the height 
should be rounded up or the depth rounded down here.  In the original thread 
Wolfgang proposed using \setupformula[grid=tolerant] and adding a blank line 
before the formula (otherwise grid=tolerant is applied to the paragraph 
before).  This workaround leads to the depth being rounded down in the example 
below which produces a more balanced output.  Could this somehow be made the 
default behaviour or something?  Currently it requires the user to notice that 
vertical spacing is off and correct it manually, including adding a blank line 
before the formula to prevent grid=tolerant being applied to the paragraph.
