Thanks everyone for the suggestions on the manuals. I knew the resource
reported by Alain and, of course, that of JoaquĆn, whose translation into
Italian I have completed, but not yet refined.
However, I didn't know the file reported by Mikael, which I found to be an

Thanks, Pablo. Can I write to you privately? My problem may not matter to
everyone.

Hello list,
I am writing to you about a problem with ConTeXt LMTX and TeXShop 5.11 on
macOS 12.6.3 (MacBook Air M2).
Yesterday I installed LMTX on my computer following the instructions here:
https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Installing_ConTeXt_LMTX_on_MacOS
The LMTX tree is correctly installed

Compiling with LMTX, i read:
ConTeXt ver: 2022.09.11 20:44 LMTX
And compiling with MkIV (of the TeX Live 2022):
This is LuaTeX, Version 1.15.0 (TeX live 2022)

Hello list,
I'm trying to install ConTeXt Standalone on my Mac (macOS 12.6 Monterey and
Apple M2 chip) but at the end of the installation the ConTeXt-MkIV folder
(where I install Standalone) on the disk weighs only 7MB (the tex tree is
created, but its folders are empty).
I've never had a problem
difference between the two in my ConTeXt use. I'm

Hello list,
forgive me if my question is too general and trivial and without a minimum
code.
In the current state of ConTeXt development, which engine do you recommend
to use *definitively*? ConTeXt MkIV or LMTX?
I use macOS 10.15.7, on which I have MacTeX-2022, ConTeXt Standalone and
ConTeXt
Thank you, Henri!

Hello list,
here and there on the Net there are slightly different ways to activate the
microtypography functionality in a ConTeXt document.
My question is: what is the most correct and clean way to do it?
Thanks in advance
Tommaso
Hello everybody.
Some time ago, Wolfgang helped me write an environment to have code above
and typeset output below.
I'll glue you a MWE below.
\mainlanguage [it]
\setupbodyfont [modern]
\defineuserdata
[example]
[alternative=example]
\defineuserdataalternative
[example]
Thanks Hans and thanks Pablo. So, \usetypescript is not needed?

Hello to all.
I am writing to you just to know if the following code, with which I would
like to activate the protrusion and expansion of characters in my document,
is correct. Is the command order okay?
If I wanted to use another font, are there other things to write?
Thank you in advance
Hello everybody,
on my computers (a MacBook Pro with macOS 10.13.6 and a Mac mini with macOS
10.15) I have installed a ConTeXt Standalone distribution and a ConTeXt
LMTX distribution.
However, while following the directions contained here

Thanks, Wolfgang. Your example works, but the verse indentation (
\setuplines[indenting=three]) is lost.
There's a way to preserve it?

Hi everyone.
I am typesetting a poetry text in triplets and I would like the second and
third lines of each triplet to be indented (i.e., in the next example,
verse no. 2, 3, 5, and 6).
Is it possible to get what I ask for with ConTeXt?
The most I managed to do is this:

Thank you, Willi!
I hope my ConTeXt guide will be a great work.

Thanks again

Hi everyone,
looking here and there on the Internet, I found a very interesting document
by Aditya Mahajan and Willi Egger: *Beginners Tutorial. ConTeXt *(
Tutorial-text.pdf), written in 2008 for the 2nd International ConTeXt User
Meeting in Bohinj, Slovenia.
This is a very interesting booklet,

Hi everyone.
The following code gives different results by commenting and decommending
the indicated lines.
Could it be a problem with the setups module?
Thanks in advance

Hello, list.
In my ConTeXt guide, I need to show the syntax of ConTeXt commands.
Below I paste a MWE showing the different possible commands, but I do not
know if there are others.
I see, however, that the result is different depending on the command used.
Do you have any advice to give to me?
Hello everyone!
This is my first message here.
I'm trying to write a ConTeXt guide in Italian.
The LaTeX *tcolorbox* package defines an environment dedicated to LaTeX
examples: above (or on the left) the source is written, and below (or on
the right) the typeset result.
Is there something
