actually that patch is slightly broken as well ... at first glance i thought
they were all AC_ARG_ENABLE()
can someone list the requirements for the plugins dir in terms of what is
supposed to be installed ? all those hack rules can probably be cut out with
proper autotool rules, i just need to know what exactly needs to be done ...
also, the way the thing installs now is not safe ...
