If i remember correctly VSS exists in HOME but is not accessible via Previous
Versions gui ( i have someone who's MS Money data file disappeared) I went to
look at Previous Versions and it doesn't exist in the GUI but VSSADMIN does
show one. If I'm not mistaken , slapping the drive

Will installing exchange 2007 into our existing 2003 site, be doable, will the
front end still work as I migrate people to 2007, then finally as we expire
exchange 2003 and I can add an edge
You can also try to use Shadow Explorer at http://www.shadowexplorer.com. I've
used this on occasion successfully. They have a portable version too btw.
