Rockland County's Hook Mt. produced nice variety in the sky with 11
migrant raptor species (drat, no Swainson's Hawk moving down from
Coxsackie, though! ;-), & both vulture species seen moving, especially
Turkey Vultures -
Hello All, Quite the Yellow Rumped Warbler Explosion this morning.The
Flicker passage also picked up from yesterday.A few small flocks of Redwings
came through and I had 7 sparrow species including 2 Clay Colored, a Field and
2 White Crowned.There was a lone Junco among this flock.Raptor
The shorebird habitat northeast of Rt 77 and Griswold Rd (Niagara County)
remains excellent. Today, I had about 10 each of Greater and Lesser
Yellowlegs, 2 Stilt Sandpipers, 2 Least Sandpipers, and 2 juvenile
Long-billed Dowitchers. Note that I and others have gone here and found
almost no

I had a strikingly attractive juvie male Am. Redstart at my garden stream at
lunchtime today. The crescents on the side were bright orange, but the rest of
the plumage was still similar to female.
