A singing male Prothonotary Warbler was found this morning (approx. 9:00AM) at Connetquot River State Park. The bird was singing in the Oaks on the west side of the river just north of the fish hatchery parking lot. The bird appeared to be moving north along the river and after a short period

This morning around 8:30 Bobby Rosetti and I heard a Kentucky warbler singing from dense shrubery in the southern end of the preserve. We never saw it, and apparently it was staying low. We heard it from trail 7(per the reserve map), the main paved east west path starting at the route 106

Since posting this morning I have received correspondence from a few birders who viewed the birds yesterday and had them fly off to sights unseen on different occasions. Considering the initial sightings yesterday were mid morning it goes without saying that Marine Park should be checked
