The two Caspian Terns found by Chris Gangemi two days ago continue on the
Carmans River. They put on a great show late this afternoon between the boat

For anyone interested there is a Wilson's Plover at Milford Pt. in Milford, CT
as of now. Went to see it this afternoon and it was giving great looks. There
were also some Piping Plovers, Black-bellied Plovers and some American
Oystercatchers.

Grasshopper sparrow at Alley Pond Park (April 29) at 9:30am, in Northern Queens
County.
Seen at the Northern edge of the football field closest to Douglaston parkway
parking lot. It flew up from the mowed grass
and perched in a small tree next to the two green team benches.

Charlie Roberto and I had a pretty good morning at the Point. Best bird was an
adult little blue heron quite uncommon on the river side (usually those that
show up are young birds in fall). It landed briefly in maintenance yard by ball
field and took off up river. We tried chasing it a bit up

Yesterday I was able to get to Times Beach and Tifft for a bit, highlights
included:
*American Bittern*: *1* at Times Beach initially seen by Josh Ketry a
couple days back and *2* at Tifft. I miss this bird some years, I was
surprised to have 3 in 1 day!
*Cliff Swallow*: *1* a Tifft (Kevin
