Had the Clay-colored Sparrow and Orange-crowned Warbler this afternoon around
3:30 or so and got some nice shots of the sparrow. The birds were along the
edge of the trees on the parking lot side of the large field where the path
juts out around the trees and goes back. The sparrow was in

and a Swamp Sparrow are here now hopping around. Also had the first
White-throated Sparrow of the season with the swamp. A Hermit Thrush has been
hanging around too.

While out fishing today I had a number of hawks migrating through. Had

I observed the Brown Booby yesterday at the White Lake WMA in Hardwick Twsp.,
NJ on Rte. 521/Stillwater Rd.. It was far away on the dock but did fly a

Shoprite and over 10 Commerce Dr. which I presume are the parents and two young

The New Rochelle peregrines were noisy again today. They were calling to each
other and at one point flew off slowly next to each other towards the coast.

It's in an unusual place for a ravens nest but it sure appears to be one albeit

Had a Common Raven in the parking lot of of the new Hmart across from the TD
bank in Hartsdale on Central Ave. It got chased off by the ubiquitous Fish
Crows and flew north with them in hot pursuit. It was most likely one of the

Wanted to correct the id of the geese previously reported by me from a second
hand report as Orinoco Geese. Today around 4:15pm I saw them at Harbor Island
Park in Mamaroneck, but to my surprise they were Egyptian Geese not Orinocos, a
male and a female. I got a quick look at them on land

The peregrine pair on the Trump Plaza in New Rochelle were at it again. One of
them was chirping as it flew up and down in front of the other as it sat on the
ledge. The third falcon came back and joined in for awhile. One of them,
probably the female, made a stoop from the building over the
Had the raven pair again flying due north both yesterday and today about
8:15am, most likely coming from the Bronx. Also had the peregrine pair dive
bombing a redtail that was flying to close to the Trump Plaza. Nice action by
the falcons, at times almost hitting the hawk.

Had a fish crow today fly over 10 Commerce Dr. giving me all three corvids for
the area. Never thought I'd be doing that in this area 10 years ago:-)

Just as I was leaving work today at 3:55pm one of the ravens flew over low
calling and then circled the Trump Plaza and headed south. I'm thinking more

After going to Pelham Bay Park today and viewing the Trump Plaza and Co-op City
from there I'm tending to agree with Richard that the Bronx ravens and the New
Rochelle ravens may be one in the same. I didn't realize how close the two
areas were to each other especially as the raven flies. I'm

spectacular. Also, had the Hermit Thrush back at the bath and a grackle at the
feeders today. Spring is almost here!!

Had one of the ravens back again today this time around 10:30am flying east.
Then at noon one was flying around and calling over the train tracks and landed
on the huge billboard across from Commerce Drive. It called and hopped around
on the sign going down behind it for about five minutes,

Had two of the Common Ravens I've been seeing at 10 Commerce Dr. in New
Rochelle again yesterday flying in a northeast direction. They are always
coming back and coming from more or less the south so are definately in the
