When working on the NYS eBird Hotspots wiki I'll compare the previous bar
chart list of species with the current one picking up any additions or
deletions. By going to each county's 'Overview' page you can determine the
date the species was added by county. Some are from newly submitted
checklists
For the 2nd morning in a row an adult Greater White-fronted Goose is on
Playland Lake. Presumably the same bird that has been here periodically

Eyebrows raised just a bit at the mention of 'Quaker
Parrot' (Myiopsitta monachus, more often called Monk Parakeet) from
the township of Long Beach in Nassau County NY (Lido Beach, and Shell
Beach); I may be incorrect - seems the common name 'quaker' is applied
a bit more by pet owners &
