Following my report earlier today of a Long-billed Dowitcher (LBDO) on the
Southend. I found another 2 LBDOs as I covered the Pond from the south to the
northend and back.
Additional highlights included, 31 STILT SANDPIPERS, 1 WESTERN SANDPIPER, 3
PECTORAL SANDPIPERS. 23 KILLDEERS (including
In addition to the good birds noted. Noteworthy are: July 10th @ Breezy Point,
a good number of Lesser Black-backed Gulls of various ages totaling 47.
July 13th 3 Wilson’s Storm Petrels @ Jacob Riis Park with 8 counted @ Breezy
Point.

big, so probably a male? Currently feeding with Short-billed Dowitchers.
