Some of you who know me have heard me malign by birding luck (or lack of). Case
in point. I was in Fort Lauderdale yesterday, hoping to photograph Gray
Kingbird. This is the only stinkin' Tyrannus I could come up with.

Yesterday,April 16, after 4 PM as I drove East from Quogue, I saw 17 ()
Yellowlegs TOGETHER in a small pond on the bay side just east of Quogue,
in addition to several I saw along the ditches going east.
Going further east,last road to the right to the ocean ( with a gate),I
saw 5 Surf

Don't forget to tune into today with Guest speaker Townsend Dickinson, Sat 4/16
at 3PM for "BIRD CALLS", Radio Show 1400/1350 AM (in southern Connecticut or
nearby Westchester, N.Y.) , with Host Chris Bosak, an Editor who also writes a
column "For the Birds" in The Hour
The beautiful Prothonotary Warbler at NYBG is definitely a MALE. We are
watching the bird on the larger of the Twin Lakes.

observed by the Twin Lakes. The warbler has posed for pictures by sitting on a
