Hi All,
Spent around 2.5 hours in the Turtle Cove section of Pelham Bay Park yesterday.
When I first arrived, I had a pair of Common Ravens mobbing a Red-tailed Hawk
(I'm guessing the same pair that nested on a building in co-op? I've been
consistently seeing a pair in the park throughout
Eric Miller reports that he did not see the Virginia's Warbler this
morning at Alley Pond Park.
As a consolation he did have a flock of about 20 Crossbills that
consisted of White-winged and probable Red Crossbills (viewed in poor
light). Also noted were a flock of Pine Siskins.
The Crossbills
Seen with Harry Taylor at the fenced in area north of the
foot/pedestrian bridge.
Sent from somewhere in the field using my mobile device!
