Our Day Tour along the Niagara River turned up 44 species. We covered Fort Niagara, Lewiston Docks, Devil's Hole, Whirlpool, and Goat Island on the U.S. side, and the Control Gates, Dufferin, and Adam Beck on the Canadian side. Highlights included: Red-throated Loon - 1 Common Loon - 2 Tundra

The dead snowy should probably be deposited at the American Museum. It might be wise if someone could perform a necropsy to determine cause of death. This is at least the third dead snowy owl in a week. The other two were weak birds found north of NYC. They both died in the hands of

This morning a female Harlequin Duck was found near the Breezy Point Tip jetty by Jeff Ritter who passed on the intel when I ran into him at the said location. It was still in the same location when I left and hotly in pursuit by a certain "Big City Year" participant. Later at Floyd Bennett
