My wife and I looked (without much effort) along dune road for the Snowy
Owl and did not find it.
EPCAL (calverton grasslands) had a minimum of 30 Kestrel on the western
runway - with probably an equal amount on the easter (potentially a bit
less due to the operation of the skydive outfit today).
A dozen of us on a City Island Birds walk had a great morning in the park,
seeing 39 species. Highlights included a close Great Horned Owl thanks to Bronx
Brendan’s great spotting skills, a nearby Killdeer nest, Lesser Yellowlegs,
American Oystercatcher. Two juvenile Red-tails that landed 10
Feeding out in the open now 5pm in flower bed southeast corner of lawn

There were 24 RED-NECKED GREBES and a single PIED-BILLED GREBE on Oneida Lake
this morning, seen from Mill St in Constantia. The water on the lake has
opened up quite a bit along the shoreline, extending all the way out to the
islands before you hit the surface ice on the lake. Other

Hi Everyone, after striking out missing the Valley Stream warbler this
morning- I headed over to Connetquot St Park where 2 other birders located
one west of the feeders (thanks, sorry didnt catch names). Also seen were
Pine and Yellow Rumped.

The first Paulagics trip out of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn on the "Brooklyn
VI" had a distinctly winter feel given the date and air temps. Water temps
never got above 43 degrees. The captain informed us this is about a month
behind schedule! That said there were still some great birds!
