My wife and I looked (without much effort) along dune road for the Snowy Owl and did not find it. EPCAL (calverton grasslands) had a minimum of 30 Kestrel on the western runway - with probably an equal amount on the easter (potentially a bit less due to the operation of the skydive outfit today).

There were 24 RED-NECKED GREBES and a single PIED-BILLED GREBE on Oneida Lake this morning, seen from Mill St in Constantia. The water on the lake has opened up quite a bit along the shoreline, extending all the way out to the islands before you hit the surface ice on the lake. Other

The first Paulagics trip out of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn on the "Brooklyn VI" had a distinctly winter feel given the date and air temps. Water temps never got above 43 degrees. The captain informed us this is about a month behind schedule! That said there were still some great birds! Official
