Volunteers for Wildlife posted on their face book page a little more than an hour ago that Buster was returned to their facility in Locust Valley. He is unharmed, but HUNGRY! As promised, no further information about who or why he was taken is available. Understandably everyone is pretty happy.

I went back at around 4:45pm and was at the VCP Parade Grounds to about 5pm and the Pink-footed Goose was there and easy to see.  The flock was smaller than this am and the Snow Goose was gone, but the Pink-footed was there, nice.  A beautiful bird. Andrew Andrew v. F. Block Consulting

Sunday, Christmas Day, 25 December 2016 As noted to this list, the Pink-footed Goose was present with a nearby Snow Goose, & perhaps 500++ Canada Geese as well as a brief look at what may have been a Richardson's Cackling Goose, all at the north- most end of the Van Cortlandt Park Parade
