Doug Gochfeld asked me to post he is currently looking at a juvenile
Iceland Gull on the lake in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
The bird was initially spotted from the peninsula, but is closest to the
red rescue ladder near Three Sisters Islands.

This morning at roughly 11am I was treated to views of a bathing
Orange-crowned Warbler where the Lullwater opens up towards the Peninsula.
The bird preened for a few minutes at eye level and eventually worked it's
way high into the trees and across Wellhouse Drive onto the base of Lookout
Hill.

Doug Gochfeld just called to report a Lark Sparrow at Floyd Bennett field
in Brooklyn. The bird is currently being viewed on the berm to the east of
the cricket field. This field is just north of the aviator sports complex
along Flatbush Avenue.

Following in the "everything seems early" mindset of this fall, it appears
an adult Rufous Hummingbird was reported yesterday in NH. For those out

. There is a considerable amount of
waist to head high brush that birds were staying low in. Looks at most
birds were brief and a lot of patience will be required to get good looks
at things.
As always, I would recommend sharing cell numbers with birders who are
there.

count for Orchard Orioles with 8 (6 seen, 2 heard) and a brief look at a
male Blue Grosbeak.
Watching a Laughing Gull hawk Cicadas was an added bonus.
