First in Maintenance Meadow flying from one side to the other and
finally to his usual spot east of the Maintenance bathrooms. I saw him
with absent intervals from 2 to 3:40 PM.

others did not turn up the bird in the Maintenance Meadow vicinity.

Hi all,
The VARIED THRUSH was seen around 1 PM today (Sunday) foraging on the ground
beside the bathroom and maintenance building. Also present was a Hermit
Thrush and Eastern Towhee, among the more common birds. Further down the
park, along 5th Ave. near 62nd St. was a large flock of Common
The Varied Thrush was viewed today, at approximately 11:45 a.m. to
12:00 p.m., in the area immediately next to the men's side of the
restrooms near the maintenance area. We left after the bird flew to
the area on the other side of the road bisecting the park.
