I did a seawatch at two different times, both from Flying Point Beach in South
Hampton, Long Island yesterday. The first, from about 6:20 to 10:45pm, the
other, from about 1:00 to 3:30pm. The standout was an eastbound adult BROWN

I've been dropping in on my favorite Midtown pocket park over the past couple
of weeks and have spotted three different species of warbler, thus far, this
"Fall". Last week had an Ovenbird, a Northern Waterthrush and a Common
Yellowthroat -- plus an immature American Robin.
The last two days I've been having a few Purple Finches flying over the house
towards Van Cortlandt Park. That's the earliest I think I've had them in the
area.

I was out walking near the Bay Ridge Botanical Garden with my wife and

I didn't have my camera at the time, so wasn't able to get a picture.

The Connecticut warbler has continued showing to observers through the
afternoon. There's still time for an after work twitch...
Good luck if you go. Patience will be rewarded.

All,
Had the great fortune of finding a BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER
among KILLDEER along a very low Susquehanna river at Murphy's Pits Vestal
NY in Broome County this morning.
This appears to be a first Broome County record at least via ebird. We will
have
to check with the NYS records committee as
