Hello all-
Just thought I'd thank everyone for weighing in on my valve problem. I took
the heads to the machine shop today and we pulled one of the exhaust valves.
Turns out the guy who did the work installed 45 degree valves into heads
with a 30 degree seat, making them sit low. Also, the
for that tool from your shop manual? Maybe Chris has
one.

I have ran both over the years. Adjustable pushrods and adjustable rockers
neither is a hassel of running and the pushrods are alot cheaper.
But the hassel of adjusting adjustable pushrods is not worth it. That's
why
most people convert over the adjustable rocker arm systems for a lot more
Why can't you move the piston to the compression stroke (so both valves
are closed), tighten up the pushrods so there's no lash and be done? I
thought this would be super simple.
Or put the piston at TDC firing, which is simplest, and then adjust.
However, I don't like to fiddle with 2
Adjustable pushrods would work.
