As I see it thre are really TWO groups of users at present.
1) The client who only runs a viewer (e.g. Imprudence) and access
and established grid.
These usersare not terribly sophisticated by most standards, but
everyone must start somewhere! This group has a uniques set of problems

Yes, it is. Perhaps you suggest to have some Introduction of OpenSimulator
Wiki.
There are many articles or blog posts, from personal website to newspaper or
cooperate site, on the web. My thought is, we can for now simply have directory
page which has links to them, searching for them and
Hi Justin!
Yes, the portal is already divided, not yet each contents though... Fritigern
suggests me dividing all of them too.
To say about priority, I personally think until 0.7.2 is officially launched,
the most appreciated task would be testing, reporting and submitting patch as

Thank you for providing interesting analysis, Karen!

Setting up a new grid for a viewer does not seem terribly difficult to
those of us who get our hands dirty in the actual code, but it IS a
significant challenge to many!
I have rewrote the wiki page Connecting recently, but it might be
Yes, I think the biggest priority is patching OpenSim - I think we already have
more than enough bug reports :)
OpenSim caters to both framework and operators directly (albeit with some facilities such as groups and profiles left to
third party code). I don't think this should change until
Hi, nice to meet you all. I'm Makopoppo.
In OpenSimulator Wiki, Fritigern told me his idea about dividing wiki into
user parts and developer parts.

It would be nice to implement it. And more, I'd
Which page(s) are you considering replacing? Or are you suggesting adding
pages which define a user, in addition to the existing wiki pages which
describe OpenSimulator?

Please only post once. You don't get a copy of your own emails and I
have five copies by now. If you want a copy of your own emails you
would have to change that setting. Normally your emails are not
echoed to you.

I now found the settings Receive acknowledgement mail when you send

I found checking it is helpful in my case, fyi.

My concern is that your prior message appears to describe in depth an
interpretation of a user but does little to describe what OpenSimulator is
or does. I would think that someone who is not familiar with OpenSimulator
may be looking at the site trying to understand what the software itself is
Hi Makopoppo. Nice to see you on the list.
I have to say, I'm not in favour of reorganising the wiki structure at this time. We already have a users and
developers division. As you say, client users are out of focus and I think this is likely to remain so. Running
