On the surface a RESERVED state doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

the image of a texture and where I could find them within the sources?
I would suggest tracing down from the implementation of the llSetTexture()
function, which you can find on line 1658 of
LSL_Api.cs in the OpenSim.Region.ScriptEngine.Shared.Api project. Good luck!
