on the 29 october ubuntu will go to the 9.10 version (KarmicKoala), then
mono will update to the 2.4 version.
Offcouse mono can be updated to the 2.4 version on 9.04 ubuntu by adding a
repo:

A region with a few scipts and not to many prims should load in a few
seconds.

I use these scripts: http://opensimulator.org/wiki/UnixScripts (I have
slightly modified the screen command, so I can see the output of opensim
with the screen -r opensim command.)
And I use a cron job wichs checks every minute if the opensim and sobust
screens are there and restarts when they

You seem to have changed some source files.
When you update the local git on your server then those changes would be
Windows apparently automatic overwrites those changes, when you do not care
about the changes you made to some of the source files then there is indeed no
problem.
