The cipher-spec string - 'HIGH:!ADH:!MD5' when I executed, it gives
cipher suites as follows:

Mac=SHA1

openssl speed rsa, it fails on rsa verify (follows the log); is it
possible it is due to the -g option I compiled OpenSSL with?
