The connector is stable, when it works. It
just doesn't do much yet. It should be stressed
that this should not be used on an Outlook
install that's important to you, as this is
still 'Alpha' software.

Hence the "early adopter" caveat :) I realize there is a possibility of
data loss but what about corruption of the Outlook install/environment?

What is the difference?

Release binaries do not require Visual Studio
being installed.

Ah ok. So I take it that if the debug version crashes it brings up VS?

This is awesome! Great work guys. I am excited to see
you making progress. I now have more motivation to finish up
a cosmo deployment to test otlkcon against. :)

Thanks, but that's not going to work yet. That
is slated to work with the 'Beta 1' release.

The alpha snapshots are meant to show the progress
of the binaries and to provide a good place to
start when setting up a build environment.

Ah ok. Well then I guess I need to setup a build environment then :)

Best Regards,
Kervin

Wow. Things are moving right along. Congrats!

Hello,

We've uploaded a new Open Connector snapshot.

The binaries can be downloaded at...
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/otlkcon/otlkcon-20060305-01.zip?download

The project page is at...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/otlkcon/

This snapshot includes 'Release' build binaries
as well as 'Debug' binaries.

What is the difference?

The release build installer can be found in the
'Installer/Release/' folder. Whilst the 'Debug'
binaries can be found in the
'Installer/Debug_Installed' folder. Use the
'Release' build installer if you do not have
Microsoft Visual Studio installed.

file in the control panel 'mail' applet...

The connector currently allows manipulating
local appointments in the message store. We
are working on the synchronization of those local
appointments with the remote server.

This is awesome! Great work guys. I am excited to see
you making progress. I now have more motivation to finish up
a cosmo deployment to test otlkcon against. :)
