That is helpful. I suspect that p8 and p9 should be fine, then. Paul On Wed, Nov 26, 2008 at 9:33 AM, Michael Weber [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I finally managed to try out different versions with a improvised DS2406. owfs-2.6p8 (homebuilt on debian) worked owfs-2.7p2 (homebuilt on debian) did

Hi, Michael Weber: I could not build 2.7p8 as there is something strange going on during the threads part in the configure script. I'll do a merge with the current code soon. -- Matthias Urlichs | {M:U} IT Design @ m-u-it.de | [EMAIL PROTECTED] Disclaimer: The quote was selected

I finally managed to try out different versions with a improvised DS2406. owfs-2.6p8 (homebuilt on debian) worked owfs-2.7p2 (homebuilt on debian) did not work (always 1/True) owfs-2.7p7 (homebuilt with the smurf debian package) worked. I could not build 2.7p8 as there is something strange going

Hi Paul, I will check the new version later this week. But the problem was not with switching (PIO), but with sensing (sensed). Our switches work fine, but the one unit where we sense the current of the lamp (also using ds2406) always reports sensed.A=1 (and sensed.B for that matter, but nothing

Michael beat me to it... We don't use the 2406's for switching at all; its all about detecting. I did not try the p8 build, but the 2.7p4 definately has the problem, and 2.6p7 does not. I tried to build the 2.7p8, but the gentoo ebuild failed (something appears to have changed in the configure

Same here, I thought our circuit somehow broke. If I set the PIO high, the sensed goes down, but in the normal mode (PIO low) I always get 1 for sensed. Our version is 2.7p2 (and it worked when I installed this bit of hardware), but I can't remember what we had before. I found the old packages

I just checked the current version with a Ohm-meter (continuity). I can set and unset PIO.A just fine. That's 2.7p8 I think the problem you refer to was fixed in March. Paul Alfille On Sun, Nov 9, 2008 at 6:14 PM, Michael Weber [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Same here, I thought our circuit somehow

Hi all: We finally rebuilt our very-aged server for our SmartApartment facility. As part of that upgrade, we upgraded from owfs2.6 to 2.7. Now, all of our DS2406-based devices are very broke. Symptoms include: reading sensed.A is ALWAYS 1 (although alarms seem to work correctly). This has been
