Have you tried using the Publishing Feature to create an
Article Page? I suspect you will have a better experience
I don't know about the RAD Editor but I've always seen this behaviour with the
PageContent Placeholder and RT/HTML field types.
The only way I've managed to avoid it is using the CEWP in Source Editor mode
only.
