I have the following errors during the installation of PAR::Packer1.037
downloaded from CPAN site.
Mingw and dmake were installed from PPM without error messages.
activeState Perl version: 5.24.0
C:\TEMP\PAR-Packer-1.037>dmake

Dear Perl PAR Guru,
Recently I downloaded the par-packer-1.037 through CPAN on our Windows server.
We have activeState 5.24.0.
Based on the readme file, I issued command prompt : cpan par::packer which
requires me to install dmake and MinGW first.
Since the windows server has no internet
to add the path “visual studio/VC/bin” first before I
can test.

I just ran perl Makefile.pl and got an error message:
Fileparse(): need a valid pathname at
C:/myacitvestateperl/lib/ExtUtils/CBuilder/Base.pm
Any thoughts?

Hi all,
I had trouble manually installing Par:Packer by getting the following error
message:
Perl makefile.pl was OK without error message just a couple of warnings.
Dmake issued error messages like below:
Dmake.exe: Error code 129,while making 'main.o'
Dmake: error code 255,while making

Thanks for your great help and I was able to install PAR::Packer which generate
a standalone binary on Windows.
Since the binary is generated on Windows, it can only run on Windows where no
Perl was installed.
Although it says "Cross platform", it doesn't mean the binary generated
