Can anyone suggest a good program for normalizing the volume of music files to a consitent norm? I would like to use a batch process, but if that's not possible, I can do it otherwise. I assume programs like Sound Forge and Goldwave can do this, but I'd like to know about other programs too.

Older macs will work with a program called outspoken You might be able to find a used version. The founder of that company died and I don't know if it is still sold. IMO, you would be much better off with a pc. The program didn't work very well. I know it wouldn't work with audio programs like
