Have you had a look at the Plantronics Audio 478? I don't know about the
Audio 470 but I'm thinking they might be similar.
I think the Plantronics Audio 478 is the best headset I've ever used for
Skype and general music listening, I like the comfort, the light weight
and the inline controller
Thanks, I will look at that, I thought I saw some reviews of that one
which said it was very uncomfortable, but I agree, folding would be
nice.

Hi all
Yes is the answer to both points.
You use a utility to stream the music from your computer called Airfoil,
you select what you want streamed, you can stream Applications, a
line-in source, from your CD-ROM drive etc.

Can you please explain. If I want to invest in this I would like to know as

Also, do you know whether the 3.5 mm jack is a high impedence output as for
connection to stereo systems or a low impedence output as for use with
headphones? My system does not have digital
It does not help you say there's other options if you don't tell what they
are. Andre wants a solution and it doesn't say there are options if he does
not know what they are.

the output jack of the Airport Express is a line-out jack, the jack is a
3.5MM jack which can either be used for analogue or digital line-out.

I am interested in a decent headset to use for skype and possible music
listening, if those two don't contradict each other and I want it to be
light and comfortable as well -- we all want everything, don't we. I
was looking at a senheiser pc8 and also a Plantronics audio 470 USB,
which is now
As I said, I can't say for sure but I'd imagine they're similar to your
470 pair and if you found them comfortable then I'm sure you'll find the
478 likewise.

If the remote speakers app works with Foobar, you can add airplay to it with
that. That's what I do with Winamp.

This can be made so very simple, buy an Apple Airport Express plug it
into the Line-in of your Hi-Fi in the other room and stream to your
hearts content.
If your Hi-Fi has a digital input then you can make full use of this by
using the digital output of the Airport Express.
