Hello list: Hopefully someone can get me on the right track here: I know that MP3 Direct Cut has a gain feature. I tried using it to raise the volume level of a file I have, with no success! So I need step-by-step instructions as to how to accomplish this! Using Windows XP and Jaws 14.

With the file loaded, press the home key and then b to mark the beginning. Press the end key and then n to mark the end. Go into the Edit menu and try the default setting for the gain. Also, you may want to just try normalizing, which often suffices. Rich De Steno On 6/18/2013 4:36 PM,
