software?

I'm still busily archiving my own and others' old treasured cassettes.
I had to have the belt replaced on my white elephant mcd8050 (from the
old DAK catalog).
I'd like to have a backup in case it goes awry again.
Any suggestions for a moderately-priced, decently performing cassette
deck?
TIA
Hello TIA,
There is a cassette deck that is made to use with PC's and or Macks.
It is made by Grace.
Check it out here:

I mite get one of these myself to put my old tapes on CDs.
Yours truly, John.

Okay, take a look at http://www.radioparts.com.au as they have a
Marantz Cassette Deck listed up there which you can check out, perhaps
you could get that particular model locally.

High Garry,
I believe that New Mark makes a cassette deck that you plug in to your
computer via USB port.
Check them out at:

I hope this helps.

Just a correction. The firm you were trying to refer to, DJ, actually
is Numark,
spelled with a u. A site offering Numark's USB turntable is as
follows: http://www.floridamusicco.com/proddetail~prod~numark_ttusb.htm
I'm not sure whether Numark offers a stand-alone cassette deck like
this; but I

Thinks for the corection man, I really needed that to stay on the right
track.
What those turntables actually have, are 1-8th ench jacks for hooking a hi
fi cassette deck up to them.
But however, I read something on the net while ago about a cassette deck
that goes right in the case

I'm not sure

to have some decent qualitative info for y'all by the weekend.

DJ, I have forwarded your questions to a friend who operates a small

Hi all,
Has anyone had success using the Plusdeck internal deck? I hear the
accompanying software isn't accessible but it would seem that one might be able
to use this deck with other recording programs. It would be nice not to have an
outbord deck connected to the computer.

you want to be able to double the speed of a recording? Try looking

To my knowledge, TASCAM, were still making machines that would do what you
want, I can't check up on that here though as the TASCAM site is (at the
best of times) difficult to get around.
I'm quite sure that 4 track cassette machines will be with us for a while,
