When you select your chapters, beside each is the running length of that
chapter. Add this up, and you'll get the exact time for that episode.
You're probably best off just converting them into wave files, joining,
and then converting to MP3 or Vorbis or whatever.

I think you mean in the files menu? These are just recently accessed
files, a history list, if you will. There's really no harm in just leaving
that history list there, it's not going to hurt anything. I for one just
ignore it.

Remember too, if you want to split an MP3 or other compressed file, you're
best off if you can find a splitter that won't decompress and then
recompress your files. Gold Wave and Sound Forge both decompress before
splitting, and decompression/recompression yields quality loss.

This is often a workable solution, but it is not a perfect one because the
headers aren't updated. that's one of the nice things about Vorbis files,
apparently this contatination method works more or less flawlessly with
Vorbis files.

I have a pair of Senheiser (SP?) headphones which I very much like. They

If you use the headphone jack as output, the chances of getting a good
clean signal are minimal. It just never quite works, I think it has
something to do with the waythe sound is amplified before hitting the
headphone jack. Best to use your stereo's line out if you have one.

That's what I like about CDRWIN. I've been using it for five years now,
and the basic interface has stayed more or less the same. Other things
have been added, like the ability to write to dVD's, but the interface is
very much like it always was.

Basically, I just remember that when you start out, nothing is selected.
Extracting at that point will extract the whole CD. If I hit spacebar on
any given track it selects it, and extracting at that point will extract

It's got features built into it that are most conducive to voice
recording, but you're not limited to that.

I use my PVR all the time. True, I do require sighted assistance in
setting or deleting timers, but the rest I am able to do on my own. I
wouldn't trade my PVR for all the VCR's in North America.

Do you have Total Recorder's driver loaded and operational at all times?
The Total Recorder driver is not multi-channel, and I suspect Skype
requires that kind of full duplex capability to work properly.

I want to back up a CD with Easy CDDA Extractor (latest version) as a FLAC
file and have it create a cue sheet for me. I am not sure how to get the
program to create a cue sheet, though I'm quite certain this is possible.

Ah, I think I know what you mean. The screw that holds the volume knob
onto the speaker? But if that were loose, the volume knob would just spin
and spin without stopping at the left and right, wouldn't it? Or am I
misunderstanding you?

years ago that, until now, worked wonderfully, and had really good sound
for their size: good solid bass but not overpowering, with good treble as
well.
I need a volume control on the speaker, as well as an external headphone
jack.
