RE: MP3 players pre-loaded with Rockbox

2010-11-22 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I haven't ordered a Rockbox loaded MP3 player from Accessible Electronics, but I have used Rockbox on the Sansa E200 series of MP3 players. I'd definitely give it a favorable review. You'll have a MP3 player with talking menus, great sound quality and it won't set you back a lot financially. I'm no

I use it with JAWS to manage my library and my portable MP3 players. I also use it to subscribe to my podcasts. I'm a pretty basic user though, and I don't know anything about iTunes or smart play lists. I would say it's usable but not elegant. You have to do a lot of tabbing and use the F6 key to

Thanks for the information Steve. I did think it was funny that after the author said they wouldn't clutter up the list with a discussion on why Audible uses DRM they then went into some pretty silly analogies involving chairs, burgers, tables and so on. -- Christopher chalt...@gmail.com -Or

I believe it also streams anything you can playing iTunes, which would include audio as well as video. It has an HDMI and an optical audio output, so you can also connect more than just your TV. Finally, it runs VoiceOver, so you can control what you want to listen to from the Apple TV box and not

What kind of battery does the Plextalk Pocket player have in it? Are you able to use a different charger and get more than 26% charge on your Plextalk Pocket? If it's a lithium ion battery and it runs for quite a while on a 26% charge then the charge sensor may need a recalibration. Try letting it

It may be logical, but that doesn't make it correct. There are radio and TV stations available in Winamp, and you don't need to upgrade to Winamp Pro to access them. They aren't installed by default, so when installing Winamp, you'll have to make sure you check on line services or whatever they

I can think of a few options. One would be to use an FM transmitter. You could attach an FM transmitter to your PC and then broadcast the music from your PC and pick it up on your stereo, assuming you have a FM receiver as part of your stereo. I don't have one myself, but I'm sure others can ch

So when you go into Sounds, you're double checking that you've got sounds set up for Windows startup and shutdown, right? If you make any changes, you're saving them and making sure the updated or new sound scheme is the one that's active, right? I assume so, so this is pretty strange. -
