Re: keeping bluetooth running on the iphone
Hi! There is a big lag in bluetooth on the iphone from what i know. I think this is a problem with voiceover. /A > 26 nov. 2016 kl. 17:17 skrev Tony <t...@k5twz.com>: > > This is a problem with all of the Bluetooth transmitters I have tried. Re: keeping bluetooth running on the iphone
Hi! Just changing subject slightly if I may. You mentioned you had a cochlea implant so congratulations to you and I sincerely hope that the implant will serve you well for many hears. I too have been undergoing an assessment and tests for an implant over the last 6 months and I had to make the decision a fortnight ago as to whether to go ahead with the surgery, in my case I decided agains the implant for the time being, my music and my Hi-fi mean far too much to me at the moment, I can still hear my equipment, the hearing instruments I’m currently using sound great! and I can still hear people talk in a room though - in say 12 months will the status quo apply? We’ll see and I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. Anyway good luck and let us know how you find music with your implant. > On 27 Nov. 2016, at 3:27 am, André van Deventer <andred...@webafrica.org.za> > wrote: > > Dane > > Thanx. Re: keeping bluetooth running on the iphone
Yes, its useable but you’ve pointed out the problems. First thing I would say is that your device is using an earlier version of Bluetooth, I’ve not seen Bluetooth 4.0 or later time out like this, what you’re describing is all to familiar to me and the quality factor you described would indicate to me that an earlier version of Bluetooth is being used. The Samsung Galaxy S6 phone has a way around this problem, its rather an unusual way of tackling the problem but I have to say it works. Okay, suppose you really want this device for taking phone calls when they come in or when you’re dialling out, you can set the Samsung to only use the device for the phone thus all your other speech and sound - until you’re on a call - comes out through the speakers or connected headphones. Again, crude but I’ve found it very effective. > On 27 Nov. 2016, at 3:27 am, André van Deventer <andred...@webafrica.org.za> > wrote: > > Dane > > Thanx. Dane Thanx. It's not impossible to use it but extremely irritating. And I must say I'm not impressed with the sound quality of Bluetooth at all! RE: keeping bluetooth running on the iphone
Tony So this is quite possibly a problem with the device itself and cannot be fixed on the phone? The problem is worse here now. |The Bluetooth must be enabled when the system starts up again but also the wireless on my cochlear implant device must be enabled also resulting in an even longer delay. Re: keeping bluetooth running on the iphone
That’s correct yes, the device turns power off when Bluetooth isn’t being used in order to save battery. Remember that these adaptive devices are only meant to come into play when the phone rings and there’s a steady stream of Bluetooth data being generated thus the power stays on. > On 27 Nov. 2016, at 2:33 am, John Coviciwrote: > > I think this is controlled by your device, for my bluetooth > headphones, vo works fine without stuttering. > > Hope this helps. > > On Sat, 26 Nov 2016 10:06:43 -0500, > André van Deventer wrote: >> >> Hi all >> >> >> >> I am using an adaptive device on my iphone which requires a bluetooth >> connection. RE: keeping bluetooth running on the iphone
This is a problem with all of the Bluetooth transmitters I have tried. The signal drops after an interval of no audio. The delay varies from less than a second to several seconds, depending on device. The problem is when the audio returns there is a delay while the Bluetooth devices go through their handshake protocol. This causes a loss of the beginning of the audio. One of my devices looses over 5 seconds every time although it is usually only a second or so. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of André van Deventer Sent: Saturday, November 26, 2016 10:05 AM To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: RE: keeping bluetooth running on the iphone Let us hope this is not the case.
