No, I just made a mistake. I meant to say p7 where I typed p5 in my original note. I have not heard the p5, only the 7, and the in ear c5, I believe they are. Don't know of b&w came out with a c7 like the p7. Sorry for the stupid typo. Mary

A long time ago, like probably 30 years, I had a pair of Stax electrostatics. They were pricy; I don't remember how much, but certainly nowhere near a thousand. Then again, that was 30 years ago. Yes, they did require a special amp. They even had a special connector that plugged into the amp that c

I know they call these open back, but they are sure not like other open back phones I've seen before. I'm thinking of Senheizers in particular. These have a large over the ear cushioned ear cup, if you want to call it that. The ear piece is larger than the p7. I guess I don't understand what open b

Well, I still think those akb q701 is a tough one to beat, and on amazon, they're substancially less money than the p7. Not as practical as the p7 for on the go listening, but if you are one of those who owns a good home stereo set up and thus the long cord could even be an advantage, and you won't

What android device are you using? What I want to know is if you are able to scroll through movies or documentaries etc, move from one category to another and see all the things in that category easily. And how does that work, gesture-wise from a talkback point of view? My problem with Netflix on

The volume issue and the less than super punchy bass are why a little headphone amp is a nice thing, unless you have a good stereo pre-amp in your home system. Theese phones are still nice on portable devices, but way nicer with the addition of that headphone amp. And their size and long cable do m

Well, I haven't tried the ios app in the last couple months, and I thnk there may have been a so-called upgrade in there. I have an old Nexus 7. Will have to d/l the netflix app there and see how it works with the latest talkback. I'd never actually watch a movie on that device. But will have to se

Well, I briefly looked at the Netflix app on my Nexus last evening, and I must say, I didn't find the deal where you can swipe left and right to different categories and up and down within them to work. But I wonder if that might depend on your talkback gesture settings. For example, the default se

Well, at this point, neither on my iPhone nor on my Nexus, can I find a category list, aka genra list. I thought there had been a button for Genra at some point. And I do remember there was a time when I could move among genras on my iPad. But at least it is still accessible on the apple tv. Mary
