Jason, The only way I've figured out how to work with that issue is to put all the contents of a book's folder on to the root directory of the flashcard or root directory of a thumbdrive. You can only listen to one book at a time, but those NLS players don't like multiple books on one card. They also don't like sub folders. Hope that helps. As I recall, to find out which version you have, you press the sleep button ten times. I have no idea why NLS made it so cumbersome. However, of the latest two versions, the last involved Mac compatibility and the one before created the ability to handle more than one book per thumb drive. If the procedure I described works, you know you have that version. If it doesn't, perhaps you don't!
