was to hmmm force myself to think in terms of BW. Except of that very
exercise, the results weren't too impressive.
The best way IMHO to do what you want is to shoot RAW and post-process
accordingly.

Well, the pro market we were speaking of -- medium format digital -- is
comprised largely of big buck shooters. It ain't wedding photographers. And
it's a small market. I was merely pointing out why I think Pentax chooses not
to compete, although they did well with that group at one time.
