I popped over to Milwaukee this past weekend to checkout the landscape
photography exhibit that was mentioned on the list a while back. It was
a great exhibit and my wife and I enjoyed touring touring Milwaukee, an
interesting town with lost of neighborhood bars. The Milwaukee Art

I've decided that I should put together a set of prints that I can show.
I've also decided that my birthday party in a few weeks is as good of an
excuse/opportunity to show off prints as I'm going to get, and would be
good incentive to have a set in case I have an opportunity to do a real

It only became possible to "set" the focal length in the camera after SR
was implemented, Prior to that I don't think that Pentax or anyone else
bothered since that was unimportant to the cameras ability to use the

Usually the background with insect pics is completely blurred, but here
I had more distance to the dragonfly and had to crop a lot.
Manual focussing is essential, as well as a lot of patience.

Nice work! I love the crispness of the body contrasted with the motion
blur of the wings.

Well that makes sense, the earlier TC was just passing information along
for EXIF data, any newer TC would probably be taking IBIS into account
with cameras that have that feature. The fact that it's also more
accurate data even if the camera doesn't have that feature is secondary.

Ricoh does some marketing and apparently has deals with B, Amazon and others
to promote Pentax products. That’s efficient marketing. PPG is hugely
inefficient. It has to be staffed and maintained, and then for it to be

New Haven, CT that was called the R Bar. Nobody got that joke...

The PPG was a creature of Pentax marketing, itself a kind of unicorn, at
