or, Russian origin.
To my eyes, it looks "tropical".
I would favor a South American origin first.
Of course, "tropical" belt is far larger than that...

Lately, I have been carryig the Ricoh GXR with its M module (which
allows using Leica M mount lenses). You may remember that Boris has
used this equipment successfully for some time.
This time I was carrying the Voigtlander Heliar 75mm f/2.5mm lens,
which I like. (The shot was probably at f/4).

I liked Mark's Beetle very much but I thought some might have mixed
feelings about seeing it on a calendar.

The one with the car is very good. Certainly a pleasing result of your work.
I agree with Stan that the other one looks a bit problematic.
Could it have something to do with post-processing?
