I had a similar problem when I was getting my Sigma EF500 Super back
for getting rechipped. Got the Purolator we missed you note on the
door at home.
Called them and they delivered to work the next day. I was quite
happy about how it was handled.

all charged up over a good deal on ebay - Charger 3rd party battery
for $30. Found it by searching for the NP-400 (Konica-Minolta
Equivilent.

I found that it depends who you are dealing with at Henry's. When I
wanted to buy my K10D, they would only take $20 off ($900 at the
time), while another sales person took $60 off my 21ltd.
(I bought the K10D elsewhere).

I have one of the Lowepro cases.
Keep empty cards in the right side, full cards on the left.
Whenever a cards is full, I also slide the Write Protection switch on
after removing it from the camea. It doesn't get switched off until
the pictures are safely transferred to PC or CD.

My process:
1) When I move from SD to harddrive, everything is also copied to a CD-R.
2) Raw files are processed and moved to a directory For Second
Backup, Jpegs are copied to My Pictures
3) When the For Second Backup reaches approx 4G, it's copied to a
DVD-R, and removed from the harddrive.

I have Elements 3.0 and it supports Raw conversion.
I don't use it tho. I found it too cumbersome, as I have to open every
image in ACR to convert it to JPEG (i.e. No batch processing).
I've been using RSE for Raw conversion, altho I've just downloaded a
copy of silkypix for conversion to see

Godfrey is right on that one. I'd be very surprised if a cable that
long would work. The resistance of the cable may be getting too high
to get a reliable shutter firing, especially if the camera was
designed for short cable releases.
'Course, I could be wrong, I haven't looked into it at any
for getting consistant photos, even shooting toward
the sun.

Recently went our for a walk at a local Conservation Area, cool, dark,
bit of rainy day.
- Shot everything in Raw.
- Back home, imported to PC,
- Raw to JPEG conversion via RSE primarily with the default settings.
- In Elements, added Name to corner,
- Exported to resize and reduce jpeg quality

home monitor where you did the work and now they look terrible on your work
monitor, it's 99.9% chance it's the work monitor. Mine at work is just crap
and there seems to be little adjustment that can be done to make it better.

Today, a friend pointed out to me that Leica (my Rottie) is tied for 6th top

to the new cameras.
I don't see my self buying another Dslr, Pentax or Nikon in the near future,
unless the D2H goes south on my again, then it will be traded in for a 20 D and
lens, i suppose.:-)
Any thoughts one way or another. I have about 20 days left on the CS2 trial.

I have not tried my 50-200 or 70-210 for birds yet. I didi try my Sigma 170-500
Nikon mount for some ducks. Results were ok, but not tack sharp as one would
suspect. Colours were good.

Funny. I didi the samething last night.:-)
I just loaded it, but i still have to update the ACRplugin for it.
I have 60 D200 Nef files i cannot open and i need 2 for the newspapaer
Wednesday.

Just curious.
Those that are now shooting digital IR, do you find the AWB(red hue)works
better for BW adjustments or using the Manual WB setting(pinkish hue)
My experiment using grass and MWB seemed to work well.
