The mirror box foam light seals and back door light seals degrade also. Not an expensive fix. Also check the view finder (focusing screen and mirror) for the greasy black deposits from the degraded foam. If these problems occur, the shop selling it may fix them for you or adjust the price.

Fred, I will be curious to hear what you come up with. One of the main features I wanted was smaller size and lighter weight, and I believe this is one of the smaller 300mm lenses. I was planning on traveling with this lens, even though taking it goes against my travel light philosophy.
