At $105 or $140, (plus $40 if you want the metering pattern), I think
I'll suffer through manual focusing with out focusing aids. At least

wondering if anyone has successfully had a different type focusing
screen installed to replace the stock one on any of the digital cameras
*istD, DS, DL or DS2? I am assuming this would be something that an
authorized Pentax

same as the stock screen but with a set of horizontal and vertical
reference lines as compositional aids. I love it.
Focusing screens on the D, DS, DS2 are user interchangeable, but not
on the DL.

Pentax makes two alternate focusing screens for the *ist-D/s/s2 series
of cameras, they are user replaceable. I'm not sure if the DL can use
them as well. Unfortunately none of these screens has a built in
focusing aid either split image or micro prism. There was a third party
